On my Tundra I likely won't drive it more than 10kmiles/year, so I'm guessing just changing it at the start of summer should be "good enough". It does sit a lot, like a week between starts, but it doesn't do many short trips when it is used--it always gets up to full temp.

On my Camry though it is getting 25k/year, and I'm wondering if TGMO good enough for a longer interval? I'm tempted to leave this at 10k OCI also, as it makes maintance a pinch easier to remember.

You should be ok on the Camry with 10k interval. If it's under warranty I would email Toyota (corporate, not a dealer) to confirm if the new 10k schedule is backspeced for your car using TGMO 0w20.

If it's out of warranty you could even try M1 Extended Performance for 15k intervals.

It's been getting 10k OCI's so far. Just coming off prepaid service, so trying to think about what I'll do for this point forward.

If anything I would perform the OC before Winter (late November) - the cold start/pumpability performance of used oil will be highly degraded to that of a 10W or worse. I would never do a 1x OCI using mineral oil with that many miles driven on a truck. Min 2x year winter + spring MINIMUM.

I haven't a clue what kinds of oil the truck got in its previous life; Carfax IIRC didn't show much prior maintance, so I'm guessing it was privately done (not prepaid). Might be worthwhile to change I guess, I have put 4k onto it over the course of the summer and it certainly won't hurt. But I don't think 77k is all that many miles. Barely broken in, I thought.

I thought TGMO was synthetic? I presumed it was, since Toyota does 10k OCI on synthetic.

Toyota sells both synthetic and standard (probably semi-syn) oil. TGMO 0w-20 is fully synthetic and according to the experts here, very much the good stuff, along with Pennzoil Ultra and Mazda's 0w-20.

From Toyota.com (US website):

Genuine Toyota Motor Oil
Formulated with a special additive package that helps protect Toyota metal and gasket surfaces from corrosion, prevents foaming and maintains the proper application of oil on cylinder walls.

• Available in 5w30, 10W-30 and 10W-40 grades
• Four-point depressants maintain fluidity in cold climates
• Viscosity index improvers stabilize viscosity levels for a wide range of operating temperatures

Synthetic Motor Oil
Many new Toyota models are certified for a new, zero weight synthetic lubrication standard, or 0W-20. This lower viscosity oil pumps better when cold, yet provides uniform lubrication, reduced friction and better overall efficiency than conventional engine oil.

• Improves fuel economy
• Improved thermal stability
• Longer oil change intervals
