Why all the class action lawsuits regarding sludge with all the oils you hold in such high esteem(name brand). The courts don't lie. The recalls and service bulletins don't lie.
Do you always trust corporate american'/big oil this much??
Until I see your product; the SAME product available to ME as a consumer, being run in the 24hrs of Lemans, passing a 1.2 million Km fleet test in 500HP Detroit Diesel engines using 100,000Km drain intervals through the Australian outback (those results are on this board, and were performed, using Mobil Delvac 1 by a member here) then yes, I will remain sceptical.
Sludge? Consumers running too long on conventional oil, poor engine design (Toyota, Chrysler...etc) in regards to oil flow and drain-back (hence Toyota's class action lawsuit and recall).
Do not confuse me as an advocate for conventional oils; I am not. I am a firm believer in running extended drains of reasonable intervals with a quality synthetic. This is very much the way the European market seems to work; synthetic oil run at extended intervals and it appears to work well.
I DO trust Mobil because I trust the PROCESS that their product goes through. I also seek out and use their highest GRADE products as well; their 0w40, which likely has more approvals than any other oil on earth, and their Delvac 1 5w40, because of the testing that has been done on it and the results that testing yielded.
If you can provide similar tear-down results, in a fleet environment with high mileage, run by a third party, I think you would receive a much warmer welcome. As I said, Delvac 1, Mobil's flagship product HAS been represented in this manner ON this board BY a third party.
