Well your oil certainly doesn't prevent sludge!
My argument is store bought oil is sludging up engines.
Man, just look at that sludge in my engine:
Wait.... it's spotless. And has 330,000Km on it.
That's because of the obvious. You have had work done on the engine. Nice new rocker arms! Just cleaned them!!
I was not talking about your engine or any one engine in the first place.
We all know about MMO,flushes, etc. Anyone with enough know how can have a clean engine. What is your point?
How does your engine explain all the class action lawsuits away the general public has dealt with.
All the recalls.
All the service bulletins.
Even amsoil has TSB's out on sludge.
The sludge issue is not my argument. The courts already prove that. I am simply stating facts.
Taylor wires....why not magnecor??
1. Those are STOCK 1993 Cobra rockers, FAR from new. sorry to disappoint.
2. They were NOT just cleaned. The engine HAS been apart. But no cleaning was done. Heads/Cam/Intake was done at the 270,000Km mark, and that's when those rockers, which were USED, and already ON the heads, and came off ANOTHER engine, which ran Castrol Syntec, were installed. Since then, they had Mobil 1, in various grades for 60,000Km with 10,000Km oil change intervals. I have not touched them. What you see is what they look like after that time.
3. The rest of the engine looks just as clean inside. It has had a steady diet of Mobil 1 since I bought the car.
4. I have never used MMO, and never done a flush. The only thing that goes in my crankcase is oil.
5. The public, by in large, do not maintain their vehicles. AMSOIL's TSB's are in regard to SLUDGE PRONE engines, of which there are numerous.
6. If the sludge issue is not your argument, then why has it been the topic you have been beating to death for pages now?
7. I like Taylor, FMS and MSD. Those Taylor wires got eaten by a squirrel over the winter and I have a nice set of blue FMS wires in the basement waiting to go on it. The Accel 300+ wires have worked well for me as well in the past.
