This oil is actually the most advanced they make. I spoke with a guy in central Jersey who sells it and uses it in his personal and drag racing cars. It's a PAO/Diester/Polyolester based oil.
He put over 200+ K miles on his truck using this oil. The truck developed a gasket leak. When the mechanics took off the valve cover, they couldn't believe how clean the insides were. He would take the oil out to 15k mile drains. Synergyn has quite a bit of esters and the chemist told him that sometimes you'll notice some cleanning taking place when switching to this oil.
If you look at the UOA's of Synergyn, they have a similar effect on soft metals much like Redline. Good stuff. I can get a 5 gallon pale for $160.00. It's expensive oil that usually sells for $11qt. The chemist used to work at Amsoil but wanted to do more cutting edge work. He then left and now is the head chemist of Synergyn. They are known for their low viscosity racing oils. The guy said that Amsoil was content on staying as a long drain oil much like Mobil 1. He also said in the drag racing world Amsoil is known to be "cutting edge" anymore. I think this 0w-20 could be the most robust 20wt oil out there. Again though, UOA's are only one aspect to judge an oil. It's interesting to note that people that use Synergyn and Redline and perform tear downs rave about both oils. LG Motorsports uses nothing but RL in their Vettes.
