If it were mine, I'd run a decent synthetic 5w30 for the factory recommend OCI until the warranty is up. After that, move to the M1 0w-40 at 7,500 mile OCIs and call it good! Great truck, I love mine!

I have to agree with your comments on M1 0w40 my V6 2012 Pathfinder runs fantastic on it smooth and quiet. I would run it year round but I'm worried that the oil being a 40 weight and the Nissan VQ40DE V6 recommendeding a 30 weight oil the 40 weight may be an issue with the cold weather it hits here in Western MA? We often get several days below -20F in the winter.

I'd choose synpower if your gonna pic just one and stay with it. Otherwise you could try them all to see which you think you like the best.
I personally have never noticed a difference from one brand to another. I think I initially started using valvoline years ago because of the colors of the bottle lol (red white and blue)

So let me get this straight..you towed over 4000lbs without a full sized truck, and in the northeast? id say 320000 was a godsend lol. You had gotten your moneys worth imo. So what was wrong with valvoline? switch to full syn(valvoline) and ride it out. i might try out the valvoline silver bottle here next oil change for what its worth. Magnatech is also a pretty solid value at the everyday price unless you like hunting down rebates. Might be my choice as my dad has the same truck and uses it.
