I didn't either and I could be wrong. All I am going by is my co-worker with a Phd in mechanical engineering. Of course, his world and what he wants to do for a job is much different from mine. I could probably find a job I would like out there where because of so much education, he cannot.

If he found a job in Cleveland he would say their economy is great.

You have to move for a job if you can't find one where you want to work.

No, the paint will still shine nicely with the rust bubbles and rust holes

Keep driving up into Michigan ... you'll think you've left the pavement.

Well I doubt a guy with his smarts wouldn't know the market in Cleveland and I know he hated to leave his family.

Honestly, I don't think it's that bad, but maybe it depends on specific part of MI. I'm in western MI, and don't find the roads any worse than IL. In fact, I think they're generally better. I also drove up north a few times (Traverse City area) and found the roads acceptable. Sure, maybe not as nice as FL, but nothing really to complain about.

Theres good and bad.

My experience as well. If you want ideal weather all year round, parts of Cali have it, but then there's a price to pay.

Exactly what does the sunbaking do to a car???

It looks literally as if the sun has baked the paint completely off. Metal/panels are in perfect shape,no rust, etc, but the paint is baked off down to the bare metal and all the plastic trim is completely gone.

The best weather in California is a tiny portion of San Diego county within 5-10 miles of the beach.

The ideal weather all year round is any Hawaii island. Low is almost never below 60F and almost never above 90F. The temperature all year is between low of 70F and high of 85F.
