ST is listed there and it was tested. Link directly to ST results.

Those are PIQA tests, does the product actually meet Dexos-1 specs? I can't a spec sheet.
No clue. I just know that ST was tested as was a lot of other oils. If a person wants something to compare with, those tests compares test results to other oils including Mobil 1. One could take the results from ST and from Mobil 1 and compare the two. It's a start at least.
Something I learned a long time ago with computers. Manufacturers rarely test everything that is available to use. My computer uses a Gigabyte mobo and I use a ram that is not listed as approved. Thing is, the memory I use has the same timings and voltages as memory that is listed. I installed it and for the past two or three years, it has worked fine. So, I'm sure Honda, GM, Ford and other car makers don't test every single brand of oil that can be put in a car either. It doesn't mean that it doesn't work just fine, just that it wasn't tested. Same as Gigabyte didn't test the specific memory I am using, it still works and if it had a issue, it would have shown up by now for sure. Cars and computers are different but the point is, just because it wasn't tested doesn't mean it would not be safe to use.
That said, I use Castrol Synthetic in my car. Since that has worked well for me for a good long while, I wouldn't switch to ST or Mobil 1 either for that matter. Now if I bought a old beater and had no idea what oil was in it and wasn't to worried about the car, I'd put whatever made me feel good about it. I think someone else posted it this way. If they were going to put their car on a race track and do some bad things, they wouldn't use ST either. For general easy going use, if it's what you can find and/or afford, then use ST. I'd be surprised if it was any worse than any other oil.
What I see is folks with bad thoughts about Walmart more than the oil itself. If tests show ST is fine, then why bash the oil just because Walmart sells it? I don't like Sears either. I won't bash Sony for their electronics just because Sears sells them.
