Sub Inflation

The Canadian McValue meals are $5 ($3.62 US) but they are the smaller items

In my opinion McDonalds has fallen from grace much more than the other burger joints. They are riding on their laurels. I think it will catch up with them and they may have to return to a more robust experience.
McDonald's has more in common with a seven eleven that sells microwave food than it does with a restaurant. McDonald's focus is on non educated customers. I am sure the CEO dreams every night how to get rid of the friers in the restaurant, get to the point where everything is just reheated/microwaved.

Of note, I are at McDonald's seven days per week for 90 straight days, from 01JAN2026 through 31MAR2026.

So Patman and I are uneducated?
Another Pablo I see :(

The popular business psychologist on youtube says the popularity of McDonalds is their consistency. You know exactly what you're going to get each time and that is comforting to people.

Restaurants near me either close up or are extremely busy. There doesn't seem to be much in between except the Thai place that seems to maintain a 50 to 80% seating rate at busy times. The biggest highlight of my wife's and my impending retirement is being able to go to popular restaurants on a whim on a Tuesday night and get seated without delay.

I think I know who you are referring to. It's a British guy who looks like he eats McD's 5x a day. Awesome content.

Yes, reliability and consistency with taste and service. Great for any business.

You might have missed the last two sentences where I stated I ate at McDonald's for 90 straight days, from 1jan2026 through 31mar2026.

I ate because the food is so deeply processed, I was trying to avoid food borne pathogens.

Now my wife we me to lose the weight gained from eating at McDonald's for 90 straight days.

It's been 40+ years since I had a part time night job at a 7-11 and the food served behind counter was NEVER microwaved. Hot dogs, half smokes etc cook on the roller grill from frozen, hamburgers, wings, nuggets, pizza, etc. all went in the convection oven.
That oven behind the counter is a combo oven that does convection or convection/air fry, and has a pizza setting.

Edit: for spelling. Little keys, big fingers.

Gon makes gross generalizations on this forum on a regular basis. Few of which are seldom totally accurate.
