Sub Inflation

Just look at candy bars. Go back to the '70s and the regular nickel bar was bigger than the large $2.50 size today.
Yeah, inflation smation. It's all about shrinkflation.

If the prices went back to pre covid these swindlers wouldn't give you what they used too....

In my opinion McDonalds has fallen from grace much more than the other burger joints. They are riding on their laurels. I think it will catch up with them and they may have to return to a more robust experience.

We go out to eat once a year. Anniversary night for dinner at the Indian restaurant.

Other than that we eat for about $3 per meal. Easily less than $120 per week for food. We get 50 pound bags of potatoes at IGA for anywhere between $15.99 and $29.99 a bag.

The healthiest food in the world is also the cheapest. Potatoes, corn meal, beans, rice, pumpkin, oats. The six basic food groups.
Yep, in Costa Rica I noticed that the chain grocery store food prices were pretty much the same as in Canada, but average wages are 1/4 what they are in Canada. Then I went into a local grocery store with big bags of beans, rice, corn meal, local veggies and fruit, and saw how the costs for food per day can get very very low, and good for you, and taste great!

This happened to me at some supposed one man stand burger place in Bellingham.............as in don't bother burger. I mean starched black shirt thin. Terrible.

Why am I losing sleep over you
Reliving precious moments we once knew

According to a couple of articles a 6 pack of beer (depending on what you buy) is still less than it was 30 years ago even with inflation.
