Maybe youve already rubbed folks the wrong way so they ignore your posts?

Really? I wonder who is that lucky person! I am glad that *you* are still responding :-)

Yes, you could become a troll. We've had quite a few of them here. I value them for the entertainment they provide.

Consider it a compliment. Come for an answer and get a good BITOG response. In and out service.

Post and just be a pot stirrer and expect a long ration of who-who? Everybody used to think I was Mr. Trouble or something, but never once have I started a topic with the expectation of a long multipage thread about nothing. OK there was the ROCK, but that was humor.

Seriously don't have the expectation: "lot of responses - must be good" and life will be good.

Back to work.

Since you mentioned that, it happens all the time to me when I mention my Prius. Not sure if this good or bad though.

That's how I spot posters that I feel are knowledgable and try to seek their advice. In and out, concise posts that go straight to the matter at hand. They may be "dry" on the fluff material and some people may find these posts as rude, but to me these kinds of posts are a sign of analytical mind or left brained person. All good traits for problem solving or getting an honest advice. That's not to say that only these people are worth listening to. We have plenty of members that can give great advice or info and present it in a form that enjoyable to read, or downright funny. But these posters are harder to spot in my opinion.
The drama queens have usually no useable knowledge so they make it up with, well drama. Typical mentality of bigger post count = more knowledge. This probably works on most forums out there, but fortunately not here.

Becoming serious for a second, it is very unfortunate that all you have to do to see if a topic is going to be locked soon is to look at who started it. The topic itself seems to be immaterial and could be as simple as "is sky always blue?" but it will get locked if it was opened by those type of people.

OK, I'm going to ignore this one.

Start a thread asking about which product should buy, ignore all advice given, change the products you're considering constantly, end up buying something completely different than what you ever listed, and then turn around to belittle everyone who has given you advice and call you out for your lack of logic. That seems to get ~40 pages of discussion.

I'll play if you want, what topic?

I was hoping for my Monroe Brake Service video thread to get pages of commentary, but boy was I disappointed.
