Son scored a great deal on a Ford F150

Well 5w-30 Valvoline restore and protect is in the engine and the date code on the tires is 2015 so those will be replaced very soon.
He has installed a bike rack/pad on the tailgate for his Santa Cruz “Bronson” Enduro Mountain bike that evidently cost twice as much as the truck lol. First bicycle I’ve ever seen that has hydraulic disc brakes and carbon fiber frame.

OK, I admit Huntingdon WV gets winter weather. But that year, model and motor specifies 5w-20 oil. I'm not smarter than a Ford engineer so I'd use that.
It originally (the modulars) spec'd 5W-30, but Mobil always recommended the AFE 0W-20 and 0W-30 oils for anything that called for a 5W-20 or 5W-30.

Had a '97 F150 with a 4.6 Romeo engine. By 150,000 miles it was burning a quart of 5W-30 M1 every 800 miles. I switched to Castrol Syntech 5W-40, and it went over 1000 miles before it needed a quart added. Great truck, though underpowered. I sold it with 330,000 miles. Never did have any downsides from running that heavy of an oil through at least 5 midwest winters. I wouldn't get too hung up about too heavy of an oil in a 2V Modular.
