Sold my car to CarMax

Wouldn’t say so, but it depend on what you like. As an example, my local Hyundai dealers have everything but new Tucson on sale
I would need a new truck and right now, trucks seem to be selling at MSRP. When I bought my current truck I paid around 22% below MSRP.

that and when I search for an F250 or F350 with the 7.3L V8, there are exactly 4 in a 200 mile radius.

Yeah F350 was always hard to find, I’m mostly talking about regular cars here

Are they discounting the Palisade? Everything else are sedans-which then again are not in demand.

Some of the dealers in my area give $1500 off of Palisades and up to $4k off of sedans

😂😂😂

$1,500.00 off a Palisades that start around $30,0000.00 is hardly "a sale". I would expect the $4,000.00 off on sedans-which are much less in demand.

$1700 sounds like a generous offer though :)
It does with the mileage, worn drivers seat, worn arm rest, & paint chips. No plans to get rid of it though. A friend works at a Toyota/Lexus dealer & asked me to sell it, so I figured I'd see what others would offer for fun.

Just sold an 03 Ram 1500 with 50,000km for $20k USD. Being picked up today for export to the USA. The market is great for those that have too many good quality used vehicles and can part with one or a couple.

People don't normally stock pile extra vehicles or 100's of quarts of oil....it happens just on here.

Know a guy being offered crazy money for a 2020 Duramax 2500 4WD … he tows for recreation only … so is serious about making a deal soon - also assuming things are normal a year from now … (not miss this peak)

I guess I should add to the reduction of my vehicle hoarding over the decades. My showroom condition '06 S65 AMG and '04 BKW Touareg have found new homes south of the border. Both sold in under five hours, buyer covers shipping and border fees, and all terms USD. Guess I should find a buyer for the 120.41L of T6 and PPE 5W40 that I was hoarding as well.

The used cars market is crazy.
Just sold my 17 Kia Sportage (bought 8/2016) with 50k miles for $17.8k to CarMax. In&out in 2 hours
The car is great mechanically but started to age. Lots of swirls on black paint and scratches on plastic.
Some 1.5 years ago, I thought of trading it and got an offer of $15k or so.
If you have a used car - now is the time to sell it
I tried CarMax but when I looked at similar models w/half the mileage I knew they were going to nickel and dime me down thousands. I was insulted that they thought so little of my time.

I sold my VW Toureg TDi Diesel to CarMax as well.... several years ago... they gave me good money for it. Man I loved that car and miss it to this day, but the Benz 2.1L BluTec that took its place is a better auto.

But, CarMax gave me good money for that TDi.
