Good match tomorrow Sunday June 13 is between Germany and Australia at 2:30 EDT. Netherlands versus Denmark on Monday at 4:30 AM is the match of the day, the other match pit Italy against Paraguay is pretty good too. Brazil will play on Tuesday against North Korea.

US was very lucky to get 1 point out of the match against England, we still have a chance to go to the knock out rounds. South Korea was very good, the only team to score more than 1 goal so far.
 
Finally missed my first WC 2010 game today. Sunday duties called me away from the Germany game. I saw maybe 10 minutes. No comment.

Did see handball madness this AM. Wow.
 
The Aussies looked good, just the Germans looked much better in defense, tactics and character. In fact, I would bet on Aussies if they had to play US. So far we have nothing to write home about.
 
So far two teams played very well: Germany and Netherlands. Italy, Argentina, France and England did not play as contenders of the champion.

We will see how Portugal and Brazil perform tomorrow. If Portugal does not win they may not be able to go to second round, the winner of Ivory Coast & Portugal match is likely will go to second round.
 
Aus stinks. I did not think they played well at all. Germany is fairly awesome.

The own goal was sad for the Danes, but they had little chance against the Dutch.

Italy looked like doo-doo.

Brazil and Germany in the final. I hope not but there it is.
 
North Korean is very good so far at half time. Brazil is in the learning mode of unknown quality opponent. Second half may have better actions from both teams.

Portugal is not so good, they may not pass the first round, even if they do and meet Spain in the round of 16 they will go home.
 
North Korean is very good, they should be proud of the effort they put into the match even the result was not in their favor. The real Brazil showed up in second half, their first goal was a beauty and the second was typical Brazil team work.

Brazil will be in elimination rounds, the only question is how far they can go.
 
The Sydney Morning Herald had a column declaring ''Australasia 1,Slovakia 1''.They must be hurting to try and claim something from a good result by the New Zealand All Whites.

We have ''The Italian job'' next.No worries.
 
Big upset today, one of the favorites to win it all Spain lost to Switzerland 0:1.

So far these two teams look very good: Germany and Brazil. Is it Brazil or Brasil ?

I've only ever seen "Brazil" used in English speaking countries.


Considering that in Brazil, United States is spelled Estados Unidos, and abreviated EUA, I wouldn't sweat it.
 
Brazil is mostly used in English speaking countries, but I think Brasil is the official name and used in Portuguese speaking countries.

Anyway, since we are speaking English therefore Brazil is good enough for most of us.
