Snow tires off soon...

Well I put the snows on the Cherokee in December, Then we got a new Liberty in January and I havent even bought snows for it.

Next year....

mine are off as of yesterday. I have tripled my driving recently with caring for my elderly grandma.. so why burn up my blizzacks with this 50F weather we getting here.

I haven't taken mine off as of yet. They came in handy on a recent trip to New England when I encountered some unexpected heavy snow east of Albany, NY. As always, they made stopping/turning much nicer than driving on all-seasons.

Likely I'll leave mine on until March 4th, then store them nearby in case we get a late-season snowstorm.

Mine are coming off the first week of March. It seems everytime i get a new set of snow tires we get very little snow that season and the last season i have an old set before i put them out to pasture- we get creamed with snow. The thing i hate even more is every time i take my snow off, we get a snow storm the week after. I can't win.

Do you really expect otherwise??

I KNOW that a surefire way for us to have another mild, spring-like winter is for me to buy a new set of Primacy Alpins, or Nokian WRG2s (to replace my now 10 year old, burned up PA2s)this coming September!!

^ Same here. I bought a set of snows for my MKZ, and a new 4x4 for wifey. NO SNOW! We've had a total of 2" this year. The past 2 seasons we had nearly 40" each. I feel stupid driving around with black steelies/aggressive winter tread on my Lincoln -- when it's 60 degrees out. However, if I took them off, we'd get dumped on.

Oh yeah -- I forgot about the snowblower in my shed. It's also the first year I have one. At least it was a hand-me-down from my father.

I took my winters off this weekend. Nice to have the Primacy MXM4's back on again! I'll switch back if necessary as it only takes me 20 minutes- doubt I'll need to do it though as it has been a mild winter here in Denver thus far.

I switched the Cruze this morning. The Fit doesn't get driven much anymore, so those winter tires can stay on for the next few days.

Milehigh, I'd love to hear further impressions of the MXM4's, since the OEM Goodyears on the Cruze are wearing quickly.

I swapped mine this weekend. I'm expecting a snow storm anytime. My OE Eagle RSAs seem louder than the Altimax Artics.

It figured, the first drive done after mine came off was into a squall. Also, the OEM tires are much louder than the snows. I think it's the all-season compound not liking the cold (but snowless) snap we're getting.

Yup, dry roads almost all winter here in mid Ohio. Both my vehicles are back to all season tires. I took the snow tires off my Subaru over a month ago. Yesterday I had the snows taken off the front of my van and on with new all seasons. I NEVER needed the snow tires this year!! What a waste, all I did was wear them down. Man, the last two winters I couldn't have made it without them, this winter was a strange one. I hope it is really over.

Took mine off a few days ago. Driving to lake Placid / Whiteface next week for some snowboarding...hope I don't regret this...lol. Weather websites show highs well above 7 celsius all next week. Should be OK anyway..brand new all seasons with full tread / AWD.

Both cars are now wearing their 3-season tires. Considering it is 60*F outside today and forecast for the remainder of the week is great, I think our snows are officially done for the spring.

I switched over to the 3 season tires on the Montana and Outback this weekend. Forecast is for near 70 for the rest of the week. I usually wait until the beginning of April, but the weather has been so mild and warm.

It took a little bit of convincing for my wife to allow me to switch over the Montana - she is paranoid of skidding on ice. But even she notices how poorly the Blizzaks handle on warm, dry roads. They also wear at an incredible rate in warm weather. You can almost feel the special winter compound peeling off.

My son took the snows off of his Fit back at the beginning of February.
