Yes! I forgot about this one.

I believe they also have a 5w30 SN+ with a 3.5HTHS as well? Seems harder to find, however

It is also a full SAPS A3/B4, so should have good protection.

Next to MB229.5, Porsche A40, LL01, SN+ is irrelevant. But, it is there for crowd that think that is what matters.

It's likely relevant for the crown that has very small T-GDI Engines like the Hyundai 1.6T that allows a 5w40 to be used, but could be susceptible to LSPI.

Most all the 0w40 Euro oils have high Ca Content, so options on a 40wt are limited for API LSPI protection.

No truly. A lot of, but not "most". No more.
And, Ca is not alone aliable for LSPI, but anyway you can balance lspi-danger with moly and magnesium. You must not go with calcium under 2000. Unless you are randy for margin and you choose feeble addpack.

For best results of course, dont buy banana-cars, with banana-engines, in whichsoever you must afterwards put banana-oils.
That's a piece of cake.

Chevron Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-30 is SN rated with an HTHS of 3.5.

As such, it is one of the few SN-rated 5W-30 oils with such a high HTHS.

It is available on Amazon in gallon jugs.

Also, Chevron Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-30 is also a SN PLUS oil now.
Still has an HTHS of 3.5.

No, specifications and approvals.

What would the VOA tell you beyond that?

You mean SN or SN+? Each VW 504/507 5W-30 and 0W-30 oil is SN and have HTHS >3.5.

@kschachn
Good question. All VOAs on Bitog are useless dalliance. Or so, right?

But I repeat my question, gladly, once:
What in THIS great datasheet is approval and what recomendation?

The US Pennzoil site still shows the older
PDS (SN, not SN plus, and different VI and
other specs ), so I'm going to check out the
product in the stores and see if I can find
any product on the shelves with the
SN plus designation.

Looked online to find that neither Autozone, Advance Auto nor NAPA carry PP Euro 0W40.
Walmart has it on their site, but not at the 2 stores near me, and they're showing the old SN product on their page.

Will probably go with Amsoil SS 0W40 next oil change. There is one store around me that carries that, but haven't
checked if their current stock has the newer SN+ labeling on it.

I am in Canada and had spoken with Shell tech and customer support in August and at that time and for the foreseeable future the only way for me to purchase the 0W40 SN PLUS is in a 24 quart ECO BOX

. I would much rather a carton of 6 one quart bottles. (Of course this may well not be the case in the USA)

I also was only able to find it at Walmart online, however I'm not sure if it's old or new stock.

Seems like it might be a unicorn oil for a while.
