E-cores are fine. As a matter of fact-since most owners have somebody else change their oil-I am going to go out on a limb here and say there are probably more e-cores in service than any others.
And your motor isn't going to blow up with a SLIGHTLY LESS EFFICIENT filter.
Yeah the e-core isn't the end of the world, but, the PF66 for sure is not as efficient and it had a rubber adv. If I can get a better filter for cheaper then why not?
E-Cores are fine, I've used a lot of them on my LM7 without any issues, not for extended runs but for a typical oil change they work well and not that expensive either.
