Which one will clean my cooling system better?

I ran some Distilled White Vinegar through it, along with distilled water. I heard that works. But now I see Shoprite Automatic Dishwasher Detergent.

Ingredients are: Sodium carbonate, sodium silicate, and enzymes.

Best to flush/clean cooling system?

If you really want to clean it use something like Prestone super flush. You may expose some leaks but atleast the Prestone was made for it.

Tri Sodium Phosphate,
TSP, in the paint section of the hardware store...

One tablespoon if clean looking, two if dirty, three if really bad.

Hint - put some food coloring in to tell when you've flushed it out...

Vinegar, lemon (scented), or other acids in my plastic radiator scare me..

Use the rest of the TSP in your dishwasher.

One teaspoon is all you need..

Feds ordered phosphorus removed from dishwashing detergent...

Interesting. I use the store brand automatic dishwasher powder once every 3 years to flush the whole system with regular hose water.

When it's time to refill with coolant I run 3 or 4 gallons through the system to clean out any residual "non-distilled" water.

I've had no problems and I'm still running the same OEM radiator at over 200K miles.

I put some Prestone Super Flush in today, but I really want to use something stronger!

My cooling system was.. neg-lec-ted. !!
