Anyone here have any experience sitting in the grandstand at The Derby?
I'm looking to buy two tickets. Probably get them from stubhub. Not really wanting to spend much more than a grand or so for two tickets.
For that kind of money, I can sit near the finish line at the lower level of the grandstand. These seats are uncovered and slightly elevated to the track. Or I could be tucked up under the third floor of the grandstand, but be positioned about midway between the starting gate and the finish line. However, the third floor is covered and has a much higher point of view (I can see action across the track?).
I assume if I'm at the lower section of the grandstand (first floor), I won't be able to see what's going down on the back stretch.... Right?
