It's simultaneously what I do and don't like to see. A great filter changed way too soon.
Ideally the oil would get changed 2, 3 maybe 5 times and have 300 to 600 hours on the filter.
Oil type: safetykleen, the best 15w-40 on earth.
The oil is still clean and almost transparent on the dipstick.

Didn’t know there was “best oil on earth”. 🤣🤣

Filter looks good, Thank You

What went on and in?

Schrodingers oil filter?

Is that the one that simultaneously does and doesn't have a tear it only to be decided the nanosecond you cut it open?
I have cut open a lot of filter that have been installed for ridiculous lengths of calendar and run time. I haven't found anything close to trying to fail.

so a diesel with 60 hours and clear oil after that other diesel and 3400 hours. This stretches the imagination.
The 3400hr filter had a synthetic hydraulic fluid flush ran though it too, probably should have just taken it off and cut it open without doing the flush. But one of the things I didn't not expect to see is apparently flushing also cleans out some of the junk in the filter too.
Like yota said "there is another".
There's always going to be another one with a thousand to 2,000hrs.

I don't see any HPL or amsoil people running anywhere from 4 to 12 times the manufacturer recommend oci on their diesels.
And I wouldn't recommend putting saftykleen 15w-40 in a direct injected gas engine.

🤔🤔🤔

Yeah…… I ran Delvac 1 ESP 5w40 in my focus for almost 5k. Zero issues. So much for the 💩💩💩💩 bout using HDEO in gas engine.

All flood light generators get that napa good filter till until they run out and there's a big pile of them.
So you’re still avoiding the what oil went back in question. If it was Safety Kleen 15w40 jist tell us. You work at a fleet that uses Safety Kleen oil. My work uses it and never had an issue.

Safetykleen.
It's what came out and went back in.
I didn't know I was avoiding it.

It's fine for carbed engines and port fuel injection. It's exactly what you don't want in a direct injected gasoline engine.
I'm definitely not putting any hdeo in my wifes DI car.

What would happen if someone ran hdeo oil in a DI gasoline engine? Just curious since I haven't heard this before.

Low speed pre-ignition. That's why they're stripping more calcium out of the coming SQ oil spec.
They've know about the relationship between pre-ignition and calcium in the oil on aviation engines since forever.
In a diesel engine or low compression gas engine where the fuel is mixed with air before it enters the combustion chamber the high calcium isn't a problem.
