Just wondering for Scheaffers 7000 users. How is oil consumption and how clean are high mileage engines. The posted NOACK is 13.9% which seems higher than some other oils I had been looking at. In the real world is this an issue?

On the three vehicles I have used it in, the oil consumption was nil. That was before they changed the formula within the last year or so to make it lighter viscosity.

I have zero consumption issues, including for some applications where one might expect some.

One engine I'm presently running it in has around 180k. Again, zero consumption.

I have had no issues with consumption in any of my vehicles, including a 1990 Honda Accord with 152,000 miles that I use for commuting purposes. I use the 7000 series (5W-30) with 4000 OCI in that car. I think Schaeffers makes a great product!
