I have 123,000 miles on my '03 GMC Sierra 5.3L 4x4 that I wanna keep a very long time - 300k or more.

I tow quite a bit and usually run 15-25 mile runs each way. It does not burn oil in even 7-8k runs. It sees -25F to 100F.

I ran GM oil changing every 3k up to 63k, then either Amsoil, M1 or more lately PP changing at 7k on average. Run Wix or EAO Oil Filters & an Amsoil EAA air filter.

Question is with that information:

Would it be advantageous or should I run VSOT (Valvoline Synthetic Oil Treatment)...?

NO

I would do an auto-rx run on that vehicle.

But if this is the older VSOT why? That stuff use to be aamaamamaamamazign!

I bought the VSOT last summer.

What will the Auto-Rx do for it (never checked into it)?

I'm just not a fan of adding anything to a well formulated synthetic oil. I think it's a waste and can do more harm than good in some instances.

But, but, but, I got this bottle of VSOT eating a hole in my shelf.
