I emailed Royal Purple today and just got their reply back -------------------------------------------------------------- I am not aware of another method to obtain the RP Oil Filter at this time other than Pep Boys Auto Parts stores. Have you contacted Pep Boys with this request? Maybe they would take an order and ship it to you. These oil filters are currently only available through Pep Boys. you think they would be expanding to other chain stores,being available at only one location is just dumb!!! profits could be lot more if they expanded out.

PepBoys bought the exclusive rights to sell them THAT is why they are only sold there. I think it was a mistake on RP's part myself but PB is the only place that does or will sell them as they bought the exclusive rights to do so.

I just did a search and found out it's a bypass style setup. I don't want to do this or I would have purchased an Amsoil By-Pass unit already... I know shame on me for not knowing this.

The Search I did came up with a thread talking about the filter and a Bypass unit so I assumed it was a bypass style filter for a bypass unit...
