I drink exclusively Taj tea, making it chai tea, I'm still to find a better tea as it's impossible after tasting Taj, don't get it in lighter colored box:

We have very good tap water, no need to filter or anything.
I just boil a kettle (eclectic) of tap water, put 1.5 table spoon of loose tea and 1/4 table spoon of tea masala (either store bought or home made) in a stainless pot similar to this (and a few slivers of fresh ginger is desired):
fill 1/2 pot with boiling water and let it boil for a few mins on gas. Add whole milk to fill the pot (the other 1/2) and turn gas down to about 1 o'clock so when it all boils foam doesn't spill over. Let it boil a few mins. Break the foam with butter knife, use this to filter pot contents into a thermos or cup, add sugar, enjoy:
