Ripoff Amsoil Dealer

Last time I bought Amsoil XL 10w30, It was around $6.50 a quart. The guy moved to another state so I had to find another dealer. GET THIS.............$12.00 for one quart of Amsoil's cheapest oil XL10w30. I told the guy that that was outrageous and he said "I'm trying to make a profit". Well..he just lost a customer...I feel sorry for the fool who fall for him..

There's gotta be a auto parts store somewhere near you where you can find another brand of oil for less $$$, plus not having to pay shipping.,,

so buy a different oil like from wal mart...
pu is a great oil.. and if you use the cheapest dino possible your engine will still most likely outlast the rest of the car and maybe the owner too..

I guess its like free soda refills, some franchises are at liberty to be jerks.

I've worked for several types of small businesses. Rather have customers spend $40 ten times than $100's up front and "hope" they return.

hehe as amsoil's selling point on many products is to double the drain mileages, that means you can expect them to buy half as much oil. Bad gamble!

Some auto parts stores sell the XL line of Amsoil. Check around.

Become a preferred customer and order what you want at dealer cost.

There are quite a few dealers willing to extend deals to members. The prices did go up in August, but I personally think $12 for a quart of oil is excessive.

Not sure why people hang and post on BITOG, but don't help pay the bills. Gary, 02man98 and I pay a fee for all this abuse and to keep this place open. And we will cut a deal if contacted offline. I've never even charged full retail when someone shows up at the shop, so that $12/qt guy must have been smoking something!

If he isn't, can I report him to Amsoil? I was so shocked that I went to the local Autozone to buy Mobil 1.
