Mac Davis was a guest on Gilbert Gottfried's podcast a month or two ago. He sounded healthy and alert. Like several of his contemporaries, Davis was responsible for a lot of other entertainer's success.

Oh WOW, RIP!
I remember both of them well during their heyday. Neither were my type of music but, I like both of them just the same when they would appear on many variety & talk shows during their popularity.

We used to watch Mac Davis show all the time. He'd almost always play the spoons at the end IIRC.

Mac was a great person, loved his songs and TV show in the 70s..
