I would definitely trust Red Line on this, Toyota WS is not new or "special" and Red Line has a long and very positive history. To compare check in with Amsoil and HPL. Lots of quality & premium options for your Toyota application.
So right before Winter I did a drain and refill on my 2015 Toyota Highlander. It is an LE AWD model with 3.5L V6.
So when I did the drain and refill I got approximately 2 quarts out of it. The old fluid in it was looking like new and smelling like knew. I refilled with Red Line D6.
When I did the pan drop and filter change today I again used Red Line D6 and it took a tiny bit more than 6 quarts to refill. I used Toyota filter, o-ring and followed their procedure for filling.
I am not sure what brand of Gear Lube I used in the transfer case and rear diff. It would have been synthetic...
