Yes!!

The color is a bit darker than PP.
The smell is really strong. It has a strong "chemical/plastic" smell. Unlike other oils this Ultra really smells "man made".

Its just synthetic motor oil.

Ultra is this weeks big deal. It is brand new and better than PP (as told by Pennzoil). PP is such a great oil, so why not get all hyped about it????

It probably has a significant amount of esters.

It's probably in the adds, esters don't have any smell.

Reread the Ultra bottle. Ultra cleans 35% more than PP!

It's in the 2004 Lincoln LS. The car was bought used with 70+ thousand miles. It now has 92+ thousand. In the time I have had it, the car has seen Edge, PP, GC, and Redline. The oil filler tube and visible valve train are spotless. So I am not sure if there is any cleaning to do. But if there is, that sludge better watch the *beep* out!

I've never smelled straight POE, so I don't know what it smells like, but, in general, esters do smell. Some very, very strongly. I use an ester based TC-W3 2 stroke oil that smells very much like your typical synthetic engine oil.

i went to one of the non superstore WMs around here and i did notice they had mobil 15w50 and syntec 10w40 on sale..Perhaps to make some room for the PU

Well, I bit the bullet and put Pennzoil Ultra 5w30 with Purolator filters in the Camaro and in my Sierra! We'll see how they perform!
