Some of the universal trans fluids say they are good with Dex VI, Toyota WS and Mercon LV. I want to drain and fill the power steering system in a 2017 Ford Transit van, which used Mercon LV. I have a quantity of Ravenol T-WS already on hand. Is it compatible with the Mercon LV or should I just buy a quart of Mercon LV and forget about it?

Isn't that Ravenol expensive?

I'd just go to Walmart or an auto parts and pick up either a licensed Mercon LV, or a reccomened for, like a Maxlife or other multi-vehicle.

Yeah, I just bought a quart of Mercon LV and used it. It was cheap and the transfer case and transmission both use it, so why not.

I have the Ravenol on hand already as I use it in my Landcruiser transmission.

For a power steering system I would not worry about using Mercon LV or a Toyota WS product. The requirements for power steering systems aren't that exact and Mercon LV, Toyota WS and Dexron VI are all very similar low viscosity specialty oils (aka ATF).

Quite unusually both website and data sheet doen't mention miscibility.
