Recently, there was a sale on Aim Surplus, from which had some Federal LE slugs, in blue hulls. I got 15 boxes, knowing of the quality, and did some grouping with my 590a1 today.

The target speaks for itself. I highly recommend these slugs. What you are looking at is a five shot group, the first and only group I shot. Saw no need to continue and waste the slugs. Standing at 25 yards. Smoothbore, with ghost ring sights. The pictures suck, sorry.

I like federal slugs in my 590. I shoot the 12g power-shok mostly . Personally I find Aguila mini slugs the most pleasant to shoot. Very easy on the shoulder and very accurate.

mine likes them, that and Hornady American Gunner.

Those will do nicely. Especially if you're hunting Buicks or velociraptors.
Funny, people spend all kind of money on rifles for this and rifles for that....." this is my bear gun...this is my deer gun.....and so on. With the right ammo in a shotgun, you can do almost anything.

Patterning is crucial.

They make a copper plated version of this slug, never dealt with it, but would like to. When the velociraptors have a flak jacket on maybe.
