Racing motorcycle oils

Correct, it is fine to run M1 10w40 4T "Racing" on the street. I went into the weeds so to speak in the sense of saying M1 being on the lower end of the viscosity range has a decent claim to be a "racing" oil relative to others that state "racing" on the label, but live at the higher end of the spectrum for a given grade. Heck, I am probably on the spectrum.

FWIW, the Motul 7100 and 300V 10W-40 are also on the thin side for 40's. Actually thinner than the M1 4T.

But, last time I tried 7100 I wasn't impressed with it, not very good shifting feel and it was pricey.
 
I've run Amsoil 10w-40 motorcycle oil in two different motorcycles, for a total of 125,251 miles. I doubt there's anyone here who can top that many miles of use in a motorcycle.
That said, I'm done with Amsoil and now only use Mobil1 4T 10w-40.

Yes, I noted also that the Motul starts on the low end of 40 grade viscosity and that it was lower than M1. Should have mentioned that for full disclosure in my posting.

Sample of Amsoil 20w50 (5,360 mile OCI) from the ZRX 1200 arrived at Blackstone. It will show on the analysis sheet with the previous Redline 20w50, M1 20w50 V-Twin and M1 10w40 4T. It's a motorcycle oil geeks dream with those oils all on the same page. Honestly, all of them do a good job without even batting an eye. More interested in the viscosity than anything, as staying in grade (all else as equal as possible, such as flashpoint) gives me a good feeling.
