Question about the previously posted middle eastern Honda oil chart.

My 1997 Land Rover Discovery owners manual said 5w-30 for North America and 20w-60 for the Middle East and other extreme hot climates.
It also said that mono 30w and 40w oils were acceptable at temps above 40F.
