i just did a oil change tonite with the QS "ultimate durability"...mfg date was feb 9-09...brand new, never heard of it before...china mart just started carrying it in NH

it was 3.37 a quart...i just did the regular 30$ wal mart oil change...i did not see any 5 gallon "advanced durability" jugs for 10.50like regular QS

that'd be sweet :D

Every once in a while, I see Q-torque 5w30 and 10w30 sold at WM for $15 for a 5qt jug. I also occasionally see Q-Horsepower 10w30 for $15 for a 5qt jug.

I frequently use the 5w30 Q-Torque in my Saturn ION, and I never really think about the marketing gimmicks.

the new QS is just regular QS, not synthetic...they dont claim it is synthetic on bottle

Having watched QS for a few years now...I continue to be baffled with their branding moves.

I liked the Q-Horsepower _W40 for all the mfg spec's it met and wanted to try the 10W60 but only the _W30 every got to the shelf.

Now they replace it...seems like after only a year or so.

I picked up some Q-Horsepower 5W30 for next winter. It has a nice low PP. I change my Mom's oil when she comes to visit and may pick some up for her as well. Her current fill is $9 SynPower (after rebate). $18 for HP or $17 for TP is a good deal.
