Quad Motor oil

I ask this question on a different thread and thought it may be better to start a new thread.
I have 2 quads, a 5 speed manual and a automatic.

What is an acceptable amount of moly in oil used in a wet clutch application. I have been told to be careful on moly content in a wet clutch application. Looks like the rotella T-6 has moly, but lots of people seem to like it. Or is it as simple as JASO - MA certified its good to go!!!

And of course what about minimum levels of anti wear additive for flat tappet motors???

It is not the amount of moly but the type of moly. Plus, many people, myself included, have used non jaso-ma oils in wet clutch applications without clutch failure and I ABUSED my ATV.

I have run as high as 800ppm moly in a wet clutch quad without issues. People worry too much about clutch slipage IMO. If the clutch is in good shape, it should be fine. More of a worry is the amount of ZDDP in these modern oils for proper camshaft protection. It is for this reason that I run a dedicated motorcycle oil, generally SG rated, which means it will have a lot of zinc and phosphorus.
