I just bought the oil change deal at AAP, 5 qts PYB and a PureOne filter for $15. My car has 157k miles. Would buy Maxlife but it felt like my gas mileage went down a little when I used it. Question, does PYB provide good enough protection for my engine that is driven mostly on the street, i'd say...65% street 35% highway.

Yes. Stop. Go. Pennzoil.

Have any of yall noticed your engine to be more responsive using PYB? As it claims that on their site, I just don't see how an oil can do such a thing.

YBP and a Purolator is the gold standard for me.

You've even perfected the combination with the PureOne.

I'd have to ask the reverse question.......

Would other oil choices offer Pennzoil's great level of performance and protection?

Great oil/filter combo! It should serve you well.

I can't say that mine is more responsive on PYB than any other.
BUT my Camry definetely is more responsive than my mom's Camry.
Same Engine/Trans Combo. Both have similar mileage on rebuilt engines. I ran GTX 10w30 for the first 3 years and switched to PYB 5w30 for the last 3, and am still running it.
Dad has run Mobil Drive Clean 5w30 off the tap at the dealership he works at for the first year, and now Valvoline AC 5w30 off the tap as the dealer has changed back to Valvoline. That said, my car feels like it has more power.
Don't know if it is the PYB or not.

I'll be the one to ask:

Why do they both have rebuilt engines?
