Purolator 20k C&P

All brands of filters sold at Walmart now have that sticker? Never heard of that before. The Purolator 20K is only sold at Walmart in case that's not known by everyone.
That all have something similar on the inside flap. Even the OEM boxed ones like MOPAR and MOTORCRAFT have a similar sticker. Something I have noticed like within the last couple of months.

Might be some counterfeit measure or to make sure any return to them came from them is what I am thinking.

Yep, pathetic. I agree with @CharBaby about contacting M&H about a return examination and a refund. Since you mention "sample size" without excusing topic at all there have been several other new/unused LX c&p both here and youtube that have looked fine.

I emailed them, waiting on a response. I’ve cut apart others that were sloppy with the glue, but it was outside the pleats and it was at least loosely adhered to the caps. I’m assuming that poor metal prep that lead to the cap not being completely glued to the filter element is why all the glue flaked off.

.
Here is another similar situation from an individual commenting on Whip City's new video that goes by YouTube name of @TheOfficialNakatsuMegami

Here is their comment :

"I have had glue issues recently with Purolator One filters. It was so bad I am having to stop using them. I opened the canister and the end plates were separated with Glue pieces in the media. I am having issues with Mann and Hummel across the board. I will be going back to either Champ filters until these companies get their acts together."

It really is a shame, all they have to do is offer at least 99% 30 Microns and change the glue to something better and then it is a solid filter.

But no instead they want to hide efficiency, offer piss poor customer service and put **** products on the market.

It looks pretty on the outside, but it’s the inside that counts.

For the majority of normal consumers out there, they have no idea. And I can put money that they are selling a bunch on these.

I’ve been looking into aftermarket filters, but with all of these issues with Fram, and Purolator I think I’m gonna just stay with Acdelco. I get them for less than $6. I need to cut one open and do the flashlight test on one.

I'm not psychic, but I'm predicting it will look just like a current Fram inside.

That being said, I always use an AC Delco on my Corvette and haven't had any issues.

Sample size of one and all that good stuff.

Bought a Purolator LX7317 at Wally World. I think I’ll continue to pass on Purolator.

Lots of loose glue. I can’t guarantee that that I didn’t knock anything loose cutting the filter element, but I found 3 large pieces of loose adhesive inside the pleats. Lots of loose glue outside the element. Half of the top metal plate didn’t adhere, but I doubt that matters under pressure.

They offered the best customer service of any by sending out spec sheets.

^^^ Not any more, so customer service is back to being useless and will tell you to refer to the misinformation on the website, lol.
