PU at Walmart

I know its been mentioned many times that not all Walmarts carry PU. No one seems to know why. The one in Pittsfield MA has had it for the past 2 or so years, but now its not on the shelf next to the PP. No space for it, no price labels for something around $27.

I went online and found it "ship to store" ordered it at 1:00 PM today expecting the order to not be fulfilled. By 2:00 I got an email that it was ready for pickup. Since I was low in gas (and MA is less than NY) I drove to Pittsfield, picked it up and filled my Jeep with gas.

Obviously someone in the backroom is hoarding PU.

Now with a fresh change of PU, my Jeep runs better, handles better, mileage is at least doubled, and the Jeep smells better.

The why is money. It doesnt sell. Too expensive for most Walmart shoppers. Don't know this, but suspect SOPUS refuses to negotiate a better deal. Walmart has an online stash reserved for online orders, they don't put it all out.

Pennzoil Ultra!

I just picked up some 5 Qt Jugs of PP @ WM to try in the Subaru. On sale for $22 and change.

Didn't look like they carried Ultra. Was pleased to see they stock 0W-20 PP though.

It makes no sense for Walmart to have a stash of oil reserved for online orders at this local store. Remember I picked it up in one hour from order time, so it was not shipped from anywhere. How many people are going to order it online in Pittsfield MA?

It looked to me yesterday morning that WM has stopped carrying MMO. There were one or two gaps in the shelves at my closest store, but those spots weren't labeled MMO and were priced far higher than MMO was the last time I bought some. Maybe Marvel has gotten tired of WM's continual "Price it lower or we won't stock it" nonsense?

my WM has the two small sizes of MMO. but has not had the one gal for over 2 years. i have to go to a real parts house to get the one gal MMO, about $18. and my real parts house cant get the 5 gal MMO.

It's on the shelves at our Walmart and I would use PU over Mobil 1 any day of the week.

I forgot to look on Sunday, but just did and this Ultra was $21, about the same price as PP.

I saw it on the shelf yesterday. Didn't look like it was going anywhere.
