I keep seeing this product advertised online. What is it actually? Is it any good? Base stock? Just looking for info I know most products like it are nonsense but I am genuinely curious. Thanks everyone

OK
What is it actually?
Good Question!
Is it any good?
I guess you could do some investigation!
Base stock?
Really!

What you can do is go to Google and post this Pro thing and then Bitog and see what comes up!

The additive Prolube? If so there are a few existing threads on this additive, mostly in the additive section. There are some more if you look around.

When it comes to Prolube there is no doubt that on their bearing test it does in fact do a lot better than other products, but that doesn't necessarily mean less friction in an engine.

Prolube may or may not get along with the additive packs of different oils, some people have success, some people claim it solves their ticking noise, some claim their engines run smoother, while others say it does nothing for them.

I am not going to dismiss the experiences of either side whether it works or not, but all you need is a motor oil that meets the requirements of your engine, no additives are necessary, it is not going to magically extend engine life.

Even one of the bigger critics of Prolube which is FordBoss who continuously spoke against Prolube saying it does nothing all this time actually recently found a situation of which it worked for him.

I think where Prolube will shine the most is their grease as well as gun oil it is very hard in my opinion to argue against their grease, if you have an engine that has some lifter tick or noisy valve train and feel like experimenting then go for it but don't assume that if Prolube in fact results in your engine noise going away that it magically fixed the problem.

Interesting when I did a search nothing relevant came up not sure if I didn’t search correctly or what the deal is but thank you for the info

This is no reason for this product to be added to PCMO because it adds nothing to your PCMO that is not already in it, as are most third party additives.

I remember seeing a video from them a while back saying it is not chlorinated.
With so much of the composition being listed as a trade secret on the SDS I'm not sure how one could tell. As someone who used to write MSDS for a living I especially question the 1% that is listed as "Aquatic Chronic 3 H402".
