Amsoil Signature 0W20 UOA 7,182 Miles / ‘23 Honda Odyssey w/ Prolube Oil Additive

First ever oil analysis on my Odyssey J35Y7 engine, and thought I’d share.

This sample did have 6 ounces of the infamous Prolube Oil Treatment added at 1 ounce per quart. Amsoil Oil filter EA15K13.

Note: engine is very quiet, sometimes when I stand just outside the driver door talking to my wife I have to ask her if the vehicle is running or not. Not sure if that’s exactly a testament to the additive, or just a very good oil and maintenance history, but I believe I will continue to use it. Thanks for checking it out!

The J35 is a belt driven engine. Despite the HPFP, it's still more quiet than its chain driven counterparts, and which generally lends it to showing less wear as well. It's a good engine with a good oil. I don't see how an additive is doing anything besides taking your money. You do you, though.

You don't need any oil additives and this additive likely did nothing for your engine.

Looks great & like @wwillson suggests probably no need for additional additive if the lube is formulated for your application. Amsoil SS is good, oil on top of Toyota's low wear numbers, save your money. As for the quietness probably a placebo. Do you plan to run it 9k as they suggested? I think you could do that easily.

Yes, that was my purpose for the test. The oil percentage light chimes in around 6500, I just want to see how far I could actually push this oil in this particular application. Appreciate the response.

Looks like a solid report! Like others have said, I wouldn’t anything to any oil, never mind Amsoil Signature Series. Adding an additive to Signature Series is like going on a date with Kate Upton and telling her…you know what? You should do your hair like our waitress. Well, maybe not exactly like that but close

Currently just over 51,000. I have a soccer mom wife and 6 kids. Lot of highway usage and idle time.

Haha yeah that’s actually a pretty good analogy I like that
