was listening to the radio the other day, and a commentator suggested that we should just sell Australia to MacQuarie, all get our 8-10k, call it Australia Inc, and avoid the heartache of selling it a little at a time.

They've a history of buying companies "reorganising" them, and selling off the pieces. They are trying to get QANTAS at present.

I didn't realise how much they were after overseas, also. (Just on tolls)

Interesting that the former premier of my state retired mid term, and became a consultant to them.

Thanks.. The Buying of our politicians is one thing, but then to buy our press to silence it?? Bad business.

Look on the bright side, we've always thought that they didn't care what the public thinks...they obviously DO care, and want to change that opinion (or at least silence it). That's a good think right ????

It seems I have another battle to join(this past year I participated in a big beach access voting drive (Texas beaches are public and will remain so). Someone once said the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.... or in my case being a thorn in thy enemies #@$%!. Thanks for the info.. but this is bleak sad and I can't believe it's legal, yes I can, they own our lawmakers.
