thanks in advance for reading...
long story short:
1) had my parking brake engaged (cable pull type)
2) had a stick between the brake pedal and my seat compressing the pedal
i was re-lubing all my contact points (rear). i only took off the calipers/pads.
oddly enough, i was able to slide the calipers off, but none would slide back in; even with my decompression tool (hand/squeeze tool). this is when i noticed, what i had done. I released the parking brake and removed the stick; and all went back together with out issues. took it for a drive and nothing abnormal. brake cylinder did not fall out.
my question(s).
1) did i damage anything by trying to decompress the brake cylinder while the brakes were engaged? seals, piston, etc... female grip strength if it matters any.
2) did i damge anything because the brakes were pressed/engaged a little by parking brake/brake pedal while doing this brake job?
thanks again~!
