Marked improvement from the last runs. Aside from the reduced miles, this one was done without running any Gumout Regane (Lucas UCL every tank)

Oil filter used was a PureOne P14477 Blue / air filter was a Purelator standard, with about 20K miles on it. Silicon seems high but so is the UA

Great result !
It is best not to leave oil too long in Toyota VVT-i engine.
For my case with slightly more short trip driving, the PP can not exceed 7k miles without creating additional noise during start-up and "thick oil" feel when the engine has not fully warmed-up.

However, based on my observation, I find the PP5W-30 is much better than M1 5w-30 (non ACEA A5 version) in term of startup noise, operating temperature noise and durability.

I agree. This engine seems to thicken up the oil (in all three cases), rather than shearing it down. The 15K run (it was Mobil1 EP by the way) was thickened out of spec.

I think it shows that most Syn oils are safest to run no more than 10,000 miles and it is best to run about what the manufacturer says.

*excellent* report.. looks like you got a good oil/oci combo. Don't change a single thing
