I wish you the best of luck. I just had two group 58's poop themselves one right after the other.58's.
Never again.
Good luck though![]()
Must be a bad time for 58's.
A few weeks ago I had a 11 month old Walmart Plus, group 58 die on me, and left me stranded.
I had my jump box with me and could not start it.
Was nowhere near a Walmart, so I had to punt.
Ended up with a NAPA Legend battery $180. later.
Dealt with a very nice guy, he even insisted that I take the core with me (swapped in a junk one he had for the core at no additional charge.)
The NAPA is a much nicer battery, something like 725 CCA vs. the 550ish the Walmart Enhanced Performance battery had.
Starts my old truck with some authority.
Now have a core that I could take back for a free replacement, but I probably won't bother.
Presently somewhat down on WM batteries, at least in automotive applications.
Going back to the early 90's when Walmart came into our area and were selling batteries under the Champion name, I have purchased 8 batteries for automotive applications on something like 6 different vehicles.
Only one of the batteries did not have to be returned at least once under warranty.
Yes, I know that's anecdotal. However, it is a pattern, and it is my life experience.
I'll give credit where credit is due: I've had decent luck with their Deep Cycle and Lawn and Garden batteries.
Think I'm done with their Auto batteries, at least for awhile.
