post your latest transmission lubricant change.

2018 Mazda CX-9.

3rd drain/fill tonight. Fluid came out looking good so I'm good with it for quite some time.

Out: FF/Ravenol
In: Ravenol FZ(3.7 qts) and 3 oz LG Platinum

Both cars ready for their upcoming cross country trips 🍻

Forgot to include pics of the fluid after 60,000 mi and the second one is what was drained after two spill and fills 👍 on the second one don't mind that it's a little bit dirty as well, from my hands.

~6qts out of Valvoline/Mercon ULV Mix

Back in with 3 and 3 of Valvoline and Mercon ULV. I only had 3 qts of the Valvoline left and with it being in the $11/qt range I'm just going back to Mercon since it is about half the price and I do a D&F every 10k anyways.

I just did a D&R of the factory ATF in my daughters 2021 Mazda CX-30 using Aisin's FZ equivalent fluid (which is blue like the FF). It drained 4 qts. 6 ounces cold and that's what I put back in. Seems to be working fine.

The original fluid had turned yellowish but still looked pretty clean.

Spill and fill on my wife’s 2018 Buick Encore with the 6T40 6-speed auto with 43k miles. The manual calls for an ATF service every 45k miles under severe service.

Out: 4.5 quarts of the Factory Fill
In: 4.5 quarts Valvoline DEXRON VI Full Synthetic

Honestly, the ATF didn’t look as bad as I thought it would. Will probably do a spill and fill every 30-40k.

2015 Altima strippie 4 banger, 25,700 mile and 2 year OCI
Out: mostly Valv + Castrol CVT fluid, 3 qts
In: 3 qts Castrol CVT fluid

Old fluid looked pretty good. MityVac for the win! Transmission seems fine. Will continue regular services.

07 Mazda3, 144k miles. (Recently acquired from my parents, who otherwise maintained it very well)

Out: factory fill (Really. Dad, come on! Haha)

In: $75 worth (3 quarts + a smidge) Redline MT-90.

Used a transfer pump (bottle mounted hand pump) for easy fill from under car instead of funnel + hose setup from above). For those needing this fluid, it was $25/qt, or $75/gal on Amazon. Gal effectively gets you a free qt. May never use it for anything, but it was a free quart! Haha. Also had to purchase a single socket (23mm, fits drain and fill). Reused drain plug washers, no leaks, torqued to FSM specs.

Result: noticeably smoother shifts

Friend's 2010 Nissan Frontier XE, 2WD, 4 cyl.
86,564 miles

Out: unknown ATF, possibly factory fill, was overfilled by a quart
In: Valvoline Maxlife synthetic ATF, 4 quarts
Old fluid looked remarkably decent with good color, good smell and no debris. These Jatco 5 speeds are pretty darn good.
Also siphoned his power steering reservoir and added 10 oz. Prestone synthetic fluid (Asian type).

car: lexus gs 350 (65k miles)
out: Mobil1 0w20 EP (fram XG filter)
In: Mobil1 0w20 EP (fram XG filter)
This is the first time I use this filter (in the past i used Mobil 1 filter). The oil came out darker than previous changes (same 5k OCI)

2013 Ford Escape 2.0T, 107,700 miles
Out: Mercon LV
In: same
3 drain and fills, 12 quarts+ total

The fluid is still not were I’d like it. I need to figure out a cooler line exchange.

Hydro-Gear ZT-3100 hydrostatic transmissions

Amsoil AHF 20w50 Hydrostat fluid & WIX SL10102 filters out, 138 hours. Fluid looked brand new.

HPL Tractor Life 20w50 hydro fluid & WIX SL10102 filters in.
I changed the hydrostat oil (calls for 10w30) in my Ransomes Bobcat after about 15 years of non-commercial use. It looked brand new as well. I don't ever plan on changing it again.
