Post your latest tractor oil change.

1956 case 300something. 4 QTS of sae30 chevron supreme and a fram C159 bypass filter. It does not use a full flow filter.
Does Fram make a bypass filter specifically? My relatives all farmed in Kentucky. I don't think I've ever seen a filter that says bypass filter on it.

Getting ready to do the first full Hydraulic fluid change on my 2015 Kubota L4701. It only has a little over 300 hrs, but figure 10 years is long enough on the original fluid. Had the initial 50hr service done (filters swapped and fluid topped off) by me around 125hrs. Original owner hadn't serviced it. My most expensive oil change to date.. Was $600 + for 11 gallons of Super UDT2, 2 hydraulic filters, one engine oil filter and the outer air filter. I'll use a couple gallons of Delvac 15w40 from the stash for the engine..

Pained me to spend that much on the fluid, but everything I've read says any other fluid will make the HST transmission loud and potentially damage it... Hopefully I'm not doing it again for another 10 years..

In the past I've just ordered everything from Messicks and had it shipped, but shipping on 10 gallons of fluid got me to go to the local dealer. Their prices were 20% + higher than Messicks, but saving the shipping made it pretty much even.

2025 LS MT232 50hr service

Out.. no idea factory fill and no markings on filter

In.. Mobil Delvac 5w40 and Wix 51334

Manual says it takes 1.5 gallon.. wrong! Takes a gallon and maybe 1 quart, that wasn’t fun to drain and not cause a mess. Also changed the front axle, whatever the factory fill is came out milky. Probably good thing didn’t wait till 500hrs. Put back in Mobil Delvac hydraulic fluid. Hydraulic fluid is next but waiting on Amazon to deliver a big filter wrench.

2006 New Holland TC30.

Removed blue super tech 3614, drained out rotella 10w30 t5.

Installed new white super tech 3614, filled with Valvoline premium blue 10w30
Changed oil on this today, out with the premium blue 10w30 and super tech filter.

Decided to go with Rotella t6 5w40 this time and a fram drive 3614 which has similar construction to the super tech I took off

2006 John Deere 2305

First oil change after I purchased it.
Out: John Deere Plus 50-II 15w40 and Deere filter
In: Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 10w30 and Parts Master filter (private label Wix)

198X Ford 1220

Out: DELO 400 LE and Fram PH7575
In: DELO 400 LE and Fram Drive FD3614

While shopping in Walmart I reviewed the Fram PH3614 and the Super Tech 3614. Looking at the visible internal and externals of both, they appear identical. I picked up an ST3614 to have on hand. The pleat spacing in the ST3614 doesn’t look very good FWIW.

Getting a stuck 1953 Ford NAA tractor going after 30 years or so up on the north coast. Everything is rusted w holes in the sheet metal. But tractor was delivered to my place all free by a buddy that asked me to save it. Drained water and oil out of every case ... 8# sledge and a custom fitted piston top 3/4 fir plywood round with a piece of dry plumb wood as a striker and about 40 minutes of back and forth from no 4 to no 3 and she turns over now. Can spin with hand crank.

Filled the cases with new oil except engine. Engine got last oil change used oil from another buddy who's helping. About twice over full mark and lots of hand cranking and we have oil pressure coming up to the top end :p

Have the head at the machine shop for a touch up on the valves and seats and 0.030 "shave". We'll get 'er a little higher than 7:1. Modern gas can handle at least 8 :giggle:

Once the motor actually runs by itself, we'll change it to Maxlife 5W-30 and see how it runs in his vineyard ...

John Deere 950 with 2258 hours
18 months/ 78 hours on this change.
Out: Rotella T6 0w40
In: 3 quarts Rural King Providence 10w30 HDEO, 1 quart Rotella T6 0w40, 3 quarts Mobil Delvac 15w40. Just using open jugs of diesel oil on the shelf.
Continued using the Fram Ultra XG3593A for another interval.

While walking through Walmart this evening, I came across Royal Purple 15w-40 Diesel oil in gallon jugs for $15. It meets the specs required for my Kubota. I bought all of them. I now have oil on the cheap for the next two oil changes. This will be going in my new Kubota L2502.

I've previously never used RP products due to cost...
