This https://www.deere.com/en/mowers/commercial-mowers/front-mowers/ is not the same as that. His DR is a brush mower. The Deere is a commercial lawn mower.I just saw a Deere large equivalent - front PTO, rear steer at the park. DROOL!!!

Just picked up this 2015 Exmark Viking 48" hydro walk-behind with the sulky and Kawasaki FS481V engine. I have a 1998 Exmark 48" Metro walk behind with sulky that works great, but this one being a hydro will make mowing around all my gardens, patio, and fruit trees much quicker since it has reverse. The Metro being a belt drive has "reverse assist" but really needs to be pulled backward. This also has a larger engine, where the Metro has a single cylinder Kawasaki 14hp.
As always it needs a few things to be up to my standards, such as new rear tires/tubes, belts, deck idler pulleys, all fluids and filters changed, and some new blades. Otherwise it works well and starts first pull, 660 hours which is nothing for one of these.

I actually destroyed the old filter removing it, and made quite a mess, so wasn't able to cut it with my filter cutter. I'm thinking whoever put it on cranked it down with a filter wrench. I had to use a big vice-grip pliers style filter wrench.Love to see old filter cut and post.
Thank You and nice lower sir![]()
Is the fan for the Gen or you … ?Monthly exercise today. I changed the 10w40 AMSOIL in May and forgot to take a picture. Usually change once a year, or 50 hours use on the clock, whichever comes first. This generator was bought used, for less than 1/2 price, and the original owner bought it for emergency use if required during his daughter’s wedding, but was not needed. Had maybe 10 hours on it then and I’ve put on 100 hours since purchasing it.
I’m following this thread with interest to see how many folks remain loyal to one oil brand or not. I like to buy my oil by the case which is usually a better deal, and leaves me with lots of spares for emergencies.

My guess would be to put a small load on it when running it.Is the fan for the Gen or you … ?
(I keep a box fan plugged into my Gen) …
Small is right - my box fan is 55 wattsMy guess would be to put a small load on it when running it.
They’re both heaters. 1500 watts each. So the generators run at about 50% load for the exercise…My guess would be to put a small load on it when running it.
How many running hours?
Maybe a dozen - that’s just 2nd change on the unit …How many running hours?
