Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

Finally found a jug of VPB 5w40 gona be putting this plus a qt of HPL EC in the 2010 Crown Victoria and let her have at it for 5000
Cool. Please keep us posted how this goes.
I wonder if 5k may be a bit long to have the HPL EC in the sump?
Edit: I believe that HPL recommends 1-2k max.
Where did you get the Valvoline? Price, if I may ask?

How's the IONIQ doing for you ? Gas mileage ( calculated ? ) ? Any issues ?
Hey Odie,
It's been great. Prior to the last couple weeks it was registering 51+ mpg (90% city). Since the temps have started rising though, it's been down to about 47mpg this tank-full. I attribute it mostly to blasting the AC. I usually transport my toddler to and from school so I need to make sure it's comfortable even if starting it prior to entry. But the car's been great really, no complaints.

HPL recommends changing the filter at 2k from my understanding if you plan to go longer, the Valvoline was picked up at my local Oriellys, for some weird reason they had it hidden behind the counter and I to specifically ask for it it’s $31 for a gallon but I had a $10 off coupon

5 quarts Mobil 1 5w30 and a Napa platinum filter for $40 out the door. Not my best deal ever, but could be worse. Point was to save a family member about $40-50 on a synthetic oil change. 2015 Hyundai Elantra 1.8L

Relative asked me to change out the transmission fluid in their Hyundai Elantra. I needed Hyundai/Kia SP-III fluid and the dealer wanted $7 per quart with my discount. I called up some contacts at NAPA and got this for $4.85/quart. The Elantra just gets a drain and refill so it uses right at 5 quarts at each drain interval. This stuff is discontinued I believe and the price is cheaper than Valvoline MaxLife multivehicle from WalMart. I bought enough to do the drain and refill twice.

A few jugs of Valvoline • Extended Protection 0W-20, stocked up on the $22 Amazon price.

I really wanted to keep with the Havoline Lifelong, but it’s not sold in my WM stores and is always out of stock online. Valvoline EP will be my new oil of choice for our cars.

2018 Jeep Renegade Sport just delivered by Hotshot from VROOM.
Out- unknown- presumably 0w20. IN- Mobil 5w30 EP HM and M1-113A filter.
Checked level after driving home and oil looks clean like it did coming out of bottle, a very well- maintained Jeep. Previous owners had services done at a Valvoline quick change place. Very happy with purchase.

I was at my local Fleet Farm today to pick up a single quart of oil and I was surprised to see that they are almost entirely out, if not entirely out, of their lowest cost product offerings such as the house brand Resolute oil and Mobil Full Synthetic. Jugs and individual quarts we're both in low supply or out of stock depending on grade with 0w20 being the most impacted.

The funny thing is that if you go across the street to Walmart most of their higher cost oil products are low supply or out of stock to include things like Royal Purple, M1 EP, Castrol EP, etc. Again 0w20 was in shortest supply.
