Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

Toyota 4Y! Engine is unstoppable. Been ran dry of coolant and overheated twice. Just replaced the head a couple years ago. No issues at all.

I didn't see a "post your latest gear oil" in the diff/tranny forum. Maybe there is. If so, mods, please move it.

Found Valvoline synthetic gear oil at Meijer with a instant $5 off per quart coupon...75/90 and 75/140 flavors. That's $20 cheaper than I usually pay for the Mobil 1.

Into the stash it goes for a rear diff service on the Tacoma in a few thousand miles.

I just took a look on their website, all they have is the pouches, so I guess maybe that they're getting rid the bottles and going to just stocking the pouches.

Last week I purchased M1 5-20 EP with a MC FL 910S filter. I plan to change the oil in my 2017 Ford Fusion 2.5 at its usual 10K OCI.

Ordered two of these from RockAuto for my Kia's 1.6T and got totally different filters. One's the old style "Made in USA" with thinner walls and the other's a Korean one made on the Mann+Hummel line. The Korean one feels much more like the Hyundai-Kia OEM unit, which is honestly the heaviest filter for its size I've ever had.

This car also beats the tar out of its oil; I really need to do a UOA one of these changes. The oil gets dark super quick and you can definitely smell a little gas on the dipstick a couple thousand miles in. The manual recommends 6k mi OCI but I think that's really generous. I'm using PP 5W30 atm.

Where abouts in the world are 4L jugs of oil sold, I though 5L was the standard for non-HDEO everywhere?
Europe and in my home country Norway. We have also 5L but wasn't available in the store when i did the purchase. 🙂

In the US passenger car oil always comes in 5qt jugs, and in Canada sometimes they have the same 5qt jugs or sometimes they fill them to 5L for the Canadian market. The only oil that comes in 4qt(Gallon) jugs here is oil for Diesel engines.

2012 Honda Civic sedan 1.8 engine. 3.8 Quarts of Valvoline synthetic oil with a Mobil 1 Extended Performance filter. Car uses no oil in between changes of approximately 5,000 miles. OLM was at 40%. Car has 101,600 miles on it.
