Post your latest oil or filter purchase

I also bought a pallet of Mobil 1 ESP 0w40 when the " Oil Shortage" announcements were made....

And bought out all the Mobil 1 ESP 0w30 inventory from the local Walmart.

But.... this "Oil Shortage" never really materialized.... did it? Oh well.....

O’Reilly ram a VRP oil + MicroGard oil filter combo sale recently for $38. Great oil filter and the store had a shelf full of VRP 5W30, so while not the greatest deal it was a good, easy deal versus empty shelves of VRP and oil filters I don’t even like at WM .

Picked up a Mopar oil filter at Advance Auto. I went to 3 dealerships and they didnt have Mopar filters in stock. They seem to be carrying the Stellantis value line which is called B Pro Auto. Its BS because they are charging the same price as the Mopar. Not sure where the “value” is.

I guess they dropped the Magneti Marelli as their value parts line when Stellantis became a thing.

I read somewhere here that home Depot had some oil on clearance.

Went to check it out.....

I ended up buying 2 5 quart jugs of Castrol full syn 5w30

And 3 more in 5w20, 2 of those high mileage. They were 15 bucks a jug.

They also had Rotella 15w40 in 2.5 gallon jugs on clearance for 14 dollars.....😳 So i bought one jug for lawnmowers etc.

While it was still at the $29.97 on line vs $35.97 in store.
3x VRP 5w-30
1x VRP 5w-20
1x VRP 0w-20

Trying to keep the 2-3 vehicles on Valvoline Restore and Protect. The others will be on use up duty for the I think 8 jugs of Castrol Edge and 1 jug of PP Euro L.

Also 12 bottles of Restore and Protect Fuel System Cleaner while it's BOGO.

A very last minute before price change 5qt VPR ($29.95) and a BMW Hengst oil filter ($8) from Amazon. I'm set until November 2027. I'm going to use this for annual changes in BMW and 6 month changes for a Honda that's used for food delivery service.
