Post your latest oil or filter purchase

$29.97 each at Walmart by me. That was all the 0W-20 and 5W-30 they had currently. They still had 4 more 5W-20's which would work the same in my Honda's. I really didn't need them but want to keep 2 Hyundai's on it.

Next will probably be the AAP bundle if I get more so I can get some more filters for the couple cars.

How selfish - Tired is now tired and nervous 😬

Was in Walmart early this morning to pick up some stuff for my wife and wandered over to the oil section. Filters are still scarce but I went ahead and grabbed (2) 5-QT jugs of Quaker State Synthetic 0W-20. Worse comes to worse in the oil prices world we live in, I'll run these in my Mazda's this coming Fall. Still have 6 oil changes of Kirkland, plus 3 jugs of Pennzoil Ultra, plus a few others. 1 jug left of Valvoline Restore and Protect for sons Santa Fe. Should be okay through June 2027 if it gets real bad. I have enough oil filters for each of my cars to get through the apocalypse.

Got an email from the Mobil 1 Club last week. If you buy any 5-quart jug of Mobil 1, you get $10 bucks back (per 5-quart jug) on a gift card and a free mug. You have until the end of August, and the limit is 4 per household. If you buy your oil from Walmart, it ends up being about $14 per jug, a great deal with tightening oil supplies.

I went by O'Reilly's and Auto Zone yesterday and picked up a couple of 5 quart jugs of Valvoline R&S. Not much left on the shelf.

Both stores have really shrunk their oil and filter sections a lot. The only filter I could find to fit my wife's Murano was a STP XL. Another guy was looking for an AC Delco which was out of stock as well.

The only oil Autozone had plenty of was STP brand and it took up most of the oil shelf space.

Anyone know who makes the STP brand oil?

15 quarts of FVP full synthetic 5w30, 2 quarts to “even up” the stash of FVP full synthetic 5w20. Out the door for $60 plus tax

I just changed my Harley oil using mineral VR1 a week ago but I had "out of stock drama" at Walmart when doing so.

I would see VR1 in stock when I didn't need it but the day I want to change my oil... OUT OF STOCK! Last week I spent a day riding around town looking for VR1 as once again, Walmart had it the week prior but ALL my local Walmarts were OUT last week when I needed the oil.

This has become the norm at my local Walmart and is not just oil so I have recently resorted to if I see "MY PRODUCTS OF CHOICE from my Def Fluid or my shampoo or MY soap or My deodorant is back in stock, I know I better grab it NOW as it will for sure NOT be in-stock my next few visits!

I now use Amazon first but IF I MUST do Walmart I try and go ahead and buy 3 to 6 months worth of product I must have as I know 100% it will NOT be in stock my next 2-3+ store visits guaranteed! Proven the last 2+ years of me shopping Walmart.

So my daughter needs to go to Walmart yesterday and I see ONE, only one gallon jug of my VR1 I use in my Harley is back on the shelf after being out of stock last week so I grab the last jug on the shelf.

You would think Walmart has the resources to keep things like eye drops or shampoo in stock on a regular basis mut my local store can not keep what I need in stock...

I can't see this ending well for Walmart long term as it getting worse not b
etter. One can only walk in and see a empty shelf so often before he STOPS walking in...

Walmart is a horrible place to shop. They even stopped carrying denim shorts.

Got 6 quarts of oil and an oil filter for the Escape from work last week and changed the oil today. Parts guy got me six 1 quart bottles which is fine and easier to pour but usually a better value to get the 5 quart jug and one single bottle. Doesn’t matter though as it was still cheap with my employee discount.
