I think this is the new budget oil and filter combo king for a while. With Supertech and Fram filters out at Walmart this is could be the best budget deal available out there.

Was running low on oil for the household in the weights I need so I bulk bought to stock back up. 20qts / 0w20 and 10qts / 5w30. All Quaker State Full Synthetic in the green jugs. $4.19/qt everyday price for name brand oil is fine by me. I run it in everything including the generator. I should be good for a couple years.

Sometimes you have to convince a newbie at the register that it does work. He/she will test it, then you see the eyebrows rise up. No biggie, we gotta learn along the way.

It was a good day to do some lube shopping. I lucked into 56 quarts of the Valvoline hybrid ATF at AAP. Two dozen were still in the boxes. Another unopened box of the Global ATF as well. Then, at Walmart, I cruised the clearance aisle. They had a three-pack of Mobil 1 FS 0w40 for the price of two. Here's the kicker: this is a box API SP I returned on Friday. The geniuses had even left my address tag on the end of the box. Normally they just unbox this sort of product and put it on the shelf.

I'll take the free jug.

Just ordered (2) 5 quart jugs of Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W-30 and two Wix 57356XP’s for my wife’s car at Oreillys to round out the oil stock up for us. I’ll pick it up on the way home after work. She only has about 65 miles on the first round of Valvoline Restore and Protect for her Civic so no more than she drives this will last us for a good while.

I've got more than enough oil but on sale with a rebate always gets me... Pennzoil Platinum ends up being $34.06 CAD per jug tax in after rebate (~$25 USD), pretty much as cheap as it gets up here!

And **** there is another sale on Magnatec this month too... that's $33.87 CAD per jug (~$25 USD)...

Mobil 1 0w-30 5+1 quart, Wally didn’t have Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30. A week later I found a jug of Valvoline Restore and Protect in the wife’s truck I had bought some time before and forgot about it.

Just picked up a case of Amsoil Hybrid 0w-20 for my 2024 Accord hybrid. Since it's API licensed, I'll be using this for the next few changes while my vehicle is still under warranty. After that, will probably switch to Amsoil Signature Series or Mobil 1 ESP.

I don't see a new oil analysis on the HE020 oil from Oil Analyzers/Polaris in the VOA forum, so I'll plan to send one in and share the report there when I do my next change.
